The "Casa dei Prati" Campsite & Village is modern and comfortable, and is in a quiet area overlooking the breathtaking gulf of Lacona, not far from Portoferraio, Capoliveri and Porto Azzurro, as well as the major commercial towns on the Island of Elba.

Our plots are in the shade of eucalyptus and pine trees, surrounded by Indian figs, mimosas with the typical Mediterranean bush all around. All are big enough both for large tents as well as campers and caravans and are connected to the mains.

The campsite is in a quiet and peaceful area far from traffic, and is run by the owners themselves. It is perfect for those who wish a relaxing holiday where they will feel completely at home.

Guests can choose also from comfortable, fully furnished bungalows and flats.

There is also a swimming pool for adults and another one for children, as well as a Jacuzzi, Mini Club, play park, five-a-side football/volleyball pitch inside the campsite.

The beach in Lacona is only 400 metres away, and is easy to get to by following a grit path. The campsite also has its own shuttle bus service (minibus to and from the beach) that runs at various times during the day, handy for those who don't feel like walking or for families with small children who have a lot to carry.


Lacona is right in the centre of the island, and this means that you can get to most of the beautiful beaches both on the northern and on the southern side quickly and easily.

Route:
During the summer season car ferries leave from Piombino to Portoferraio - the main town on the Island of Elba - almost every hour. There are also daily ferries from Cavo and Rio Marina. The shipping companies are Toremar, Moby Lines, Corsica Ferries and Blu Navy. The crossing from Piombino to Portoferraio takes one hour (30 minutes by Corsica Ferries), the crossing from Piombino to Cavo takes 35 minutes, and to Rio Marina it takes 45 minutes. A hydrofoil service (no cars), which arrives only in Portoferraio and Cavo, takes 35 minutes. The Camping Casa dei Prati Village has an agreement with the Blu Navy, Moby and Toremar Shipping Companies, so guests have the chance of discounts up to 40% (with Blu Navy) and 20% (with Toremar and Moby) on their ferry ticket. In auto: Da Nord: Da Milano autostrada A1 immettersi a Parma Ovest sulla A15 per raggiungere l'autostrada A12 Genova-Livorno, uscire a Rosignano, proseguire sulla S.S. Aurelia fino a Venturina-Isola d'Elba e da qui per Piombino Marittima. By car: From the North of Italy: from Milano take the A1 motorway, change to the A15 at Parma Ovest to join the A12 Genova-Livorno exit later at Rosignano. Continue on dual-carriageway as far as right-hand sign to " Venturina/Isola d'Elba". Continue on the main road until you reach Piombino Marittima/Portoferraio. From the North-East: Take the A1 motorway Bologna-Firenze-Pisa-Livorno exit later at Rosignano and continue as above. Alternatively: take the S.G.C. (not a motorway but a very good road) Firenze-Pisa-Livorno, exit at Firenze Scandicci and follow the main road as far as Collesalvetti. At Collesalvetti re-join the motorway and at Rosignano dual carriageway as above down to Piombino. From the South: Take the A12 Roma-Grosseto, continue on the main road "the Aurelia": exit at Venturina-Isola d'Elba then follow as above for Piombino. By plane: During the summer Elba is connected by many flights by italian and foreign companies from the following airports: Milano, Pisa, Zürich, Bern, Genève, Friedrichschafen, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, München, Berlin, Wien, London. The airport is located in La Pila, approx. 10 km from our campsite. By train: The train station of Piombino Marittima is 50 meters far to the ferries departures. See www.trenitalia.it
