One of the most scenic and varied sections of the Saale is certainly the area between Kahla and Naumburg. Not only does it offer very good opportunities for active holidaymakers (canoeing and cycling), it is also a region of great cultural and historical interest. Jena, Dornburg and Naumburg are located directly on the Saale and Weimar is only a stone's throw away.
The camping and resting place in Döbritschen near Camburg is located directly on the river Saale on the site of a hydroelectric power station, where guided tours can be organised. We are open here daily from Easter to the end of October. The place has become a welcome destination for excursions in the region due to its peace and quiet and the short distances from Jena, Weimar and Apolda.
Due to the good infrastructure of the location (short access from the road, parking spaces, landing stage or shallow access to the water as well as experience gastronomy and toilets) the rest area has already become a popular meeting place. We have been operating our canoe station since 2006 and depending on your needs, you can book all tours as guided tours, or your luggage will be transported, your accommodation booked in advance... There are no limits to your individuality.
